Enjoy The Fall

I wish you all a wonderful Fall Season where ever you are. A great time of the year.
I want to thank all of my visitors for being patient with me as I am working hard to arrange my life so that I can spend much more time on my Acadia Blog. I am removing myself from my responsibilities as my town’s Treasurer and Tax Collector - it has been rewarding and challenging experience but it has been much more time consuming than I ever expected.

For the first time in over 7 years my wife and I will be going on vacation to visit family in the mid-west. We will be away from home and the office for a couple weeks or so. If I find myself able to get online I will make a post while on the road but from what we have been able to determine it will be difficult to find WiFi where we are going.

The only real downside to our trip is that we will not be in Maine and Acadia for peak foliage season - my favorite time of the year no matter where I am but it is especially nice in Maine with the mountains, coastline and magnificent skies. If you can get here during the first or second week of Oct then by all means do it. Check the following web site to get the latest assessment of the foliage - www.maine.gov/doc/foliage/

A reminder that my Acadia Vacations Web Site has lots of suggestions on Things To Do and Places to Stay while in the Down East Region of Maine.

The Weather is Perfect!!!!

If you can get to Maine in the next week or so you can count on some fantastic weather. Possibly a rain shower on the upcoming weekend but that will be nothing to worry about. It will be a little above normal temps. Fall is the best time of the year here in Maine (weather wise) and the pace is nice and slow so come and enjoy.
