Prague Mayor at Everest Basecamp….

Being refused entry into Tibet from the Chinese Border, The Mayor of Prague–Pavel Bem has decided on another way around the system…climbing from the opposite side.
Pavel Bem, who has stirred up controversy in his homeland of the Czech Republic after announcing his plans to scale Everest this season…has reached basecamp on the Nepal side.
His team has scored the required permits and are now sitting at Basecamp–
Mayor Pavel Bem got turned away from the Chinese Border after it was learned that he had been “blacklisted” in China. At this point it is not known why Pavel had showed up on this Chinese list, but subsequently he was forbidden to cross the Chinese Border into Tibet.
