Wreckage of Missing Skydivers’ Plane Found in Washington
October 9, 2007
Breaking News—Breaking News—Breaking News
The missing plane that I mentioned in a previous post today has been found. The wreckage of the missing Cessna 208 Grand Caravan was found at approximately 7:40 pm Pacific Time.
At this time, it is not known if any of the nine missing skydivers have survived.
The wreckage was found in the rough terrain of the central Cascade Mountains in Washington State. The plane had taken off Sunday from Star, Idaho in route to Shelton, Washington, but did not arrive as scheduled.
A massive search and rescue effort was undertaken to try to locate the plane.
Once again, the missing Cessna 208 Grand Caravan carrying nine skydivers and one pilot has been found. At this time it is not known if there are any survivors.
Let’s keep these families in our thoughts and prayers today and hope for the best.
I will keep you updated as I learn more about the ongoing situation with this unfortunate event.

Let’s pray these guys will be found alive. Did the beacon on the plane not go off. Fossett’s didn’t either did it. What’s up with the beacons.
I am not sure about the beacons. I noted this in my previous post about this incident. They are suppose to go off if impact is made. It has been noted that heavy tail impact, could in fact damage the beacons in the process though. These beacons are located in the tail, but with two major missing plane incidents–and neither having a working PLB, it does seem like someone needs to look into this issue. I am not saying they are faulty, could just be coincidence–but, obviously they are not being triggered like they should be.
