U.S. Outdoors Today is currently looking for dedicated outdoor writers, bloggers, photographers and journalists who would like the opportunity to showcase their skills in a new nationally-marketed online magazine set to launch July 4th, 2008.

  • Outdoor and Outdoor Industry News
  • Outdoor Tips
  • Gear Reviews
  • First Hand Trip Reports
  • Feature Articles
  • Interviews
  • Monthly Columns
  • Recipes
  • In-Depth Reporting

U.S. Outdoors Today will be looking for the above items in many different subjects, including, but not limited to:

  • hiking
  • camping
  • climbing
  • mountain biking
  • kayaking
  • fishing
  • hunting
  • adventure sports and expeditions

  • anything else outdoor related, ie. boating, survival, navigation, historical pieces, trail reports, travel, etc..if you see something not mentioned, email me and we can discuss the options.

U.S. Outdoors Today will be reaching a vast and varied audience that offers up many opportunities to showcase your outdoor writing and photography skills.  If you have thought about writing for the outdoors market, U.S. Outdoors Today offers up one of the best opportunities to get your work seen, expand your name recognition, and receive the best possible audience across the nation.

U.S. Outdoors Today will be expanding on and incorporating ideas learned from another very successful venture: U.S. Hunting Today.  We are not in this to be second place, we want to lead the industry in the news and information that we provide and offer the standard that others strive to achieve.

U.S. Outdoors Today will include by-lines, a small author’s bio, and links to your personal site for added publicity to all our writers, photographers, bloggers, and journalists who are accepted into publication with U.S. Outdoors Today.

U.S. Outdoors Today, being a newly launched publication, can not offer money for submissions.  In the future, this could change.  What we offer is guaranteed name recognition opportunities, a writing credit for one of the soon-to-be top Outdoor publications in the United States, as well as expanding traffic back to your site.  These three things should be very important for someone looking to jump-start a successful writing or photography career in the Outdoors.

U.S. Outdoors Today will be lead by the experience of Steven and Tom Remington, President and Vice-President of Skinny Moose Media, who also founded U.S. Hunting Today.  Jason A Hendricks, author of The Adventurist blog and current Skinny Moose Media Recruiting Director will take the helm as Editor.

For more information on submissions or to discuss your future options with U.S. Outdoors Today, please email us at usoutdoorstoday@mail.com

Sounds like an opportunity to get some writing credits. I think it will be interesting to see what sort of articles appear.

Got something to say?
