The Adventurist Accepts Invitation For Syndication In Mainstream Media
Posted by Jason A. Hendricks on October 8, 2008 |
We are pleased to extend you an invitation to the BlogBurst Network.
As you know, BlogBurst is a news service bringing quality blogs onto
highly-trafficked, high-brand mainstream publisher sites like the
Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, USAToday.com, and Reuters.com.
We are very excited about including your blog in our service, and
look forward to working with you.
The Adventurist will now be featured in, and alongside, some of the biggest news organizations and newspapers in the world: USA Today, Fox News, The Washington Post, Reuters, and upwords of 200 more newspapers and media outlets around the world.
This is a very big leap in the business of what I do, but was also one of the goals when I originally started this site over two years ago. Each article that is used on these sites will include ‘The Adventurist’ name and my own byline. I will now have the opportunity to be read by an audience of over 100 million people, coming from a variety of sources. This should definitely open up other opportunities for the future, not only for The Adventurist, but for my own writing career.
Today is an exciting day. I will now have the opportunity to reach out and engage with many of those people that have not come to know The Adventurist over the past two years.
Some of you who are already familiar with this site may have noticed a few changes to the way I have been doing things over the past couple of months. I wasn’t trying to confuse anybody, but I have been wanting to branch out in other directions and just see what was possible. I have added some varied environmental, conservation, and political commentary to the mix, as it relates to the outdoors, and this has become a nice area for discussions. All you have to do is look at my recent posting on the Illinois State Parks to see that this has definitely brought a different type of discussion to The Adventurist.
Overall, I think the experimentation has been a positive addition to this site. It has allowed me to continue to grow my readership, while expanding upon the Outdoor Recreation and Adventure angles. The new angles are more about getting people involved and making them take notice of some of the issues that currently surround our great outdoors environment.
By accepting this invitation, I will now have a bigger voice in National and International issues and how they pertain to our outdoor heritage. Perhaps some of these adventures, like Mt. Everest, K2, The North and South Poles, can finally start getting some of the mainstream press that they deserve.
With a potential audience now reaching in the millions, I will have to be on my toes to continue to make this the best Adventure and Outdoor Recreation site out there. I hope you will continue to stop by and enjoy what I am doing. My views and reflections may not be your own, but if it’s not, then that gives you a good point to start a nice discussion with- I almost always answer my comments and take special pride in those of you who continue to send me high regards for what I do. I appreciate all of the support and generosity and look forward to seeing what the future holds…
