Japanese Adventurers Claim Discovery Of Yeti Footprints On Annapurna IV

A team of Japanese adventurers are claiming to have found Yeti footprints on Annapurna IV.  The footprints were found during a 42 day expedition called “Yeti Project Japan”.  During this expedition, team members were on the hunt for any signs of the elusive Yeti, a creature that many people believe survives in the upper Himalayan regions of Nepal and Tibet.  The ‘Yeti’ will be known to most westerners as the Abominable Snowman, a creature that resembles the mythical Bigfoot, but resides in much colder temperatures.

Kuniaki Yagihara, the vice leader of Yeti Project Japan, has made a news statement claiming that his team has found what is believed to be actual footprints of the Yeti.  These footprints are being attributed to the Yeti because it is believed that their size, and that they resemble a larger version of a human foot, would be impossible for a human to make at the altitude and conditions that these were discovered in.

Annapurna IV is 24,688 Ft. tall.  Annapurna sits in the same massif as it’s taller brother  Annapurna I, the 10th highest mountain in the world.

The researchers believe that the evidence of the bare feet proves that this is definitely a “Yeti” phenomenom.  Anyone, or anything, elses feet would freeze from the cold temperatures in only a few seconds.  They have also disclaimed that these could be another animal’s tracks, as they are aware of what the tracks of some of the colder region’s inhabitants make.

Once again, I am not going to draw judgement until I learn a few more details about this latest ‘Yeti’ discovery.  Recent media exposure on the Georgia Bigfoot photos and last year’s web craze, Jacob’s Creature, have basically put to rest any thoughts of these discoveries being taken seriously.

Breaking: Bigfoot Captured In Georgia! Press Conference Scheduled For Friday! Check Out The Photos..

Two Bigfoot hunters are claiming that they have found a dead bigfoot.  They have the proof in the freezer, and have the photos to match.  They have scheduled a press conference to announce the find to the world.  Much like my coverage of  Jacob’s Creature that exploded across the internet last year, this one is bound to do the same.

I am sorry.  I am a nut for these kind of stories.  They spark the imagination and always make us think…well….Do We Believe In It?  Whether we believe in Bigfoot or not, everyone wants to see the photos and add their two cents.  You will get that opportunity momentarily.

BIGFOOT BODY FOUND - EVIDENCE AND DNA DETAILS TO BE PRESENTED AT A PRESS CONFERENCE ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 15th

A body that may very well be the body of the creature commonly known as “Bigfoot” has been found in the woods in northern Georgia.

DNA evidence and photo evidence of the creature will be presented in a press conference on Friday, August 15th from 12 Noon to 1:00pm at the Cabana Hotel-Palo Alto at 4290 El Camino Real in Palo Alto, California, 94306. The press conference will not be open to the public. It will only be open to credentialed members of the press.
Here are some of the vital statistics on the “Bigfoot” body:
*The creature is seven feet seven inches tall.
*It weighs over five hundred pounds.
*The creature looks like it is part human and part ape-like.
*It is male.
*It has reddish hair and blackish-grey eyes.
*It has two arms and two legs, and five fingers on each hand and
five toes on each foot.
*The feet are flat and similar to human feet.
*Its footprint is sixteen and three-quarters inches long and five and three-quarters inches wide at the heel.
*From the palm of the hand to the tip of the middle finger, its hands are
eleven and three-quarters inches long and six and one-quarter inches wide.
*The creatures walk upright. (Several of them were sighted on the same day that the body was found.)
*The teeth are more human-like than ape-like.
*DNA tests are currently being done and the current DNA and photo evidence will be presented at the press conference on Friday, August 15th.

The photos definitely look to be very legible and clearly shows the creature in a deep freeze freezer.  The creature is said to have been found in Georgia’s northern woods by Rick Dyer and Mathew Whitton.  The two guys are planning on releasing another photo and DNA evidence backed by scientific research suggesting that this is the real deal.  Friday’s Press Conference will definitely be interesting..

The $1,000,000 Bigfoot Photo Search

In an effort to promote a new line of trail cameras, Bushnell Outdoor Products and Field and Stream Magazine have come up with an ingenius marketing campaign.  They are offering up $1,000,000 to anyone who can show “conclusive photographic evidence that Bigfoot exists.”

This new promotion is guaranteed to spark some interest, as well as debate.  Many ’supposed’ photos of Bigfoot have been around for quite some time, but none of them have been proven to be the ‘real deal’ and, actually, most of them have proved to be nothing more than creative endeavors from people looking to capitalize on publicity.

Field and Stream and Bushnell Outdoors Products will likely spark the biggest search for the ‘real deal’ Bigfoot in recent memory.  They are hoping that most of the trackers will, of course, use their new line of trail cameras in the process.

Ed Zieralski, a writer for the San Diego Union-Tribune recently put up an article about his search for the Sasquatch, or Bigfoot, or whatever other name it goes by.  Last year, photos started flying around the internet of Jacob’s Creature, some startling images that many had suggested were Bigfoot.  Others claimed it was just a mangy bear.  Jacob’s Creature went on to become the big hit of the internet world for a few days and sparked much interest around the world, in the Press.  This new hunt for Bigfoot could spark the same degree of interest.

With many of the known photos being proven to be creative endeavors, it will be interesting to see the types of submissions that this contest invokes.  The contest began on June 3rd and runs through the end of 2008.  At that ime, if photographic evidence has been concluded as being real, the wining photographer will win an unprecedented $1,000, 000.

Jacob’s Creature Brings Up the Age-Old Question: Are We All Nuts?

If you haven’t seen this on the Web by now–you might just be locked in a box–

Rick Jacobs, a hunter in Northwestern Pennsylvania, has set off a media flurry with some photos he has captured while scoping out a trail with an infrared camera–

On Sept. 16, 2007, Rick’s camera captured an image that has set the sane and insane wondering…Just what is it?

Some claim it is a very (and I do mean very) skinny bear sniffing out a tree in front of his camera…

Others…well…

(cough, cough) A juvenile Bigfoot..

I am not one to jump on conspiracy theories and all of that nonsense, but the photos are quite interesting..

The photos are currently being analyzed by wildlife professionals in hopes of finding out exactly what this creature is.  From The Bradford Era:

Anthropologists and primate experts were contacted by the organization. So far, preliminary results from the experts are saying it’s a primate of some sort, said Matt Moneymaker, head of the research organization.

Ummm…it get’s a bit stranger.  Paul Metaja, an administrator for the New York Roman Catholic Diocese, had this to say:

It appears to be a primate-like animal,” he said. “In my opinion, it appears to be a juvenile Sasquatch.”

By the way, Paul is also a field researcher for the Bigfoot Research Organization.  Makes you feel a bit more comfortable about being at church, doesn’t it?

I have personally seen these photos on the net–and I will give you the photo links in just a second, but first my thoughts:  All I will say is it doesn’t seem like a bear to me–but I have also been called crazy a time or two myself…
