Backpacker Magazine: 5 Tales of True Survival

Backpacker Magazine has released another good feature spotlighting 5 epic tales of survival.  These aren’t tales in the real sense because of all of these are true stories about ultimate survival, but they do send a chill up your back..

• Caught In A Colorado Snowstorm
• Lost in The Olympics
• Fighting Death on Mt. Foracker
• Man vs. Rock
• Headfirst Down the McKinley

I am a fan of these types of articles.  Being an adventure freak has led me to put myself in some of these people’s shoes and try to figure out what when wrong, why, and maybe what I would do in that same situation.  We all know that accidents and unfortunate events can happen at any moment.  Articles like these help us to pinpoint what we may be able to do differently if found in the same situation.  Spend some time and read the articles.
