Outdoorzy.com Announces New Benefits Package For Members
October 17, 2007
Wade Heflin, from Outdoorzy.com has recently informed me of some very cool benefits that come along with your membership in this growing outdoor community–
Outdoorzy.com is geared towards those of us with any kind of interest in the outdoors. Be it Hiking, Camping, Kayaking, Mountain Biking or anything else outside you take part in. I am sure you will find your interests there. Not only is this a well put together and thought out community, but it is also a great way to network with people that have your same interest.
I could go on about the special benefits of becoming a member, but I think I will let the Outdoorzy.com Press Release do that. Saves a bit of time on my part, plus explains it better than I ever could. Here it is:
For Immediate Release – October 16th, 2007Outdoor Social Network Announces a Benefits Package for its Members. Outdoorzy.com announced today that it is releasing a package of benefits to its members. Outdoorzy announces the benefits package as
their membership passes the 1,000 mark within its first year. No other social networking site offers a tangible “real life” benefits program catered to its members lifestyles.Outdoorzy has added four key benefits for members. (Membership is free)
Moosejaw.com is offering 15% off outdoor gear and clothing on their site and 5% off sale items for Outdoorzy members. Moosejaw is an outdoor gear and clothing retailer that not only provides the necessities for outdoor living, but does so with style and humor.
Island Outpost offers Outdoorzy members a free night at Jake’s in Jamaica if they book four nights. Jake’s is a bohemian resort on the south coast of the island with plenty of outdoor activities. From mountain biking to yoga, they have it all.
Wend Magazine is offering Outdoorzy member $3 off a subscription. Wend is a new outdoor sports and adventure travel magazine that is getting rave reviews in the outdoor community.
ImOutdoorsHosting.com is offering their very robust web hosting plan for just $4.95/mo (normally $6.95). Whether a member needs a
blog or an ecommerce store, they cater to the outdoor industry.
Outdoorzy will also be releasing more benefits in the weeks and months to come. “We are looking for partnership opportunities with companies in the outdoor industry and any industry that our members may have an interest in. Our goal is to go beyond what traditional websites and social networks provide. We want to be more than just a place to hang out online, and give our members discounts and deals on useful products and services they can use in their daily lives. Our members spend their extra time outside, and we want to enhance their experiences by giving them the tools they need when they’re stuck inside…” says Wade Heflin, one of Outdoorzy’s founders.
About Outdoorzy, LLC: Outdoorzy.com was launched in January of 2007. The site is a social networking website which has created a close
following since its launch late last year. Outdoorzy provides an alternative social network to Myspace, Facebook, and the other large
social networks. Outdoorzy members are avid outdoor sports enthusiasts. The members use the site to meet other people interested in the same activities, share their outdoor adventures in the Trip Reports section, store pictures of their outdoor experiences, read Gear Reviews, and stay updated on outdoor sports news through the Outdoorzy blog. The site also offers free business profiles so outdoor oriented businesses can list themselves in the Business
Directory for free. For more information contact: info@outdoorzy.com or visit
Outdoorzy.com or Blog.Outdoorzy.comWell said, Wade. I encourage all of you to stop on over and checkout the site. The benefit from Moosejaw could be well worth signing up for, alone. While your there, be sure to tell Wade that The Adventurist sent you.

Hey Wade,
Glad you found The Adventurist widget over on Widgetbox. I made the widget awhile back, but couldn’t use it myself so I didn’t publicize it much.
Thanks for adding the link as well.
Hi Jason,
I echo Wade’s remarks and we at imoutdoorshsting are more than happy to offer the discount to Outdoorzy members. Thanks for picking up the release!
