Adventure Destinations: New Zealand
March 5, 2008
New Zealand has been in the press quite a bit over the past year. Adventurer’s eyes around the globe turned their attention to the country with the untimely death of their nation’s biggest hero–Sir Edmund Hillary. There is a lot more to New Zealand than just Sir Ed though, and it doesn’t take a great adventurer long to figure that out.

After watching this video, who wouldn’t want to go?
With geography spanning white to black sand beaches, mountains,
thermal mud pools and geysers, plains, forests, rivers and lakes,
and volcanic plateaux, New Zealand’s landscapes offer the outdoor
enthusiast an amazing array areas for exploration. In addition to
the great hiking along the scenic backdrops, New Zealand is known
for its love of adventure, both on land and in water. The Hamilton
Jet, the ski plane, bungee, blokart and Zorb are all examples of
Kiwi inventions that have pushed traditional boundaries of travel
and embody the Kiwi sense of adventure.
Visit The Youngest Country on Earth to learn more about the adventure and travel opportunities of New Zealand. In the coming days I will be adding a “Travel” category to my “Links” Page and hopefully bring you a bit more info on some high-adventure destinations such as New Zealand.
