More stolen beer!
This time Guinness suffers the loss of 430 full kegs. Thanks to the AP for bringing this to the forefront.
National police said a lone man drove into the brewery — a Dublin landmark and top tourist attraction — on Wednesday and hitched his truck to a fully loaded trailer awaiting delivery to city pubs.
Wow, this fellow must be taking notes from the beer heist in Canada a couple months ago. He must be relying on the “act like you own the place” mentality. I wonder if the beer was stolen in the middle of the day, bold as brass? Hopefully the bad guy will get found out.
Cheers!

I could see sneaking in and snatching a keg or two but that’s crazy. Wonder if they catch ‘em. Probably got moved to the top of the police’s priority list.

Its got to be a professional, there must be a perceived market for it…

I think that there’s probably a market for the beer and the kegs themselves. I remember hearing not too long ago that the price of the metal the kegs are made out of or whatever has gone beyond the deposit price so people are buying and reselling them to make a profit. Might not be the case here but it could be.
