For the Heineken Lover
The Beertender by Krups. Pointed out to me via this Uberreview link.
The Beerfinder will keep beer fresh for up to 30 days. The LCD screen displays important information such as quantity levels and when to change the keg.
Unfortunately it works only with Heineken minikegs. There is a definite cool factor involved with the level indicator. I should try and wrap my non-engineering mind around figuring out an accurate way to gauge the beer levels in my kegs. It would be cool to have a nice small LCD display next to my tower indicating the level. Then I could attach an alarm at some point to turn on a neon light above with
TIME TO BREW
flashing!
Cheers,

hmmm, I wonder if you could use one of those “party pigs” or something like that with it? Like the Mr. Beer or something.

I got a sticker when I ordered my Co2 system from beveragefactory.com that you slap on the side of a keg and it supposedly tells you the level. I haven’t tried it yet though. Not exactly a high-tech method, I know. You might want to check out Make Magazine and some of the other hack sites around, there’s a chance somebody’s already designed it, or hacked the Heinneken system to work for other kegs.
