Just curious
When I post I try and write what I think others would find interesting. I also try and vary it throughout the week covering reviews, news, brewing and my own pithy thoughts. From the Hop Talk survey on the side, the majority of readers are also beer bloggers.
I put to my readers this question: What do you like reading about more? Should I focus more on brewing, reviews, news or pith?
Some of the feedback from friends and relatives points towards more brewing and less reviews. I love talking and writing about brewing but fully realize there are people who might read this who don’t brew. For obvious reasons the reviews are most fun for me, because I get to sample beers from everywhere, and usually its during nap time. A happy hoppy treat for this dad!

I am a brewing blogger so I naturally look for brewing related posts. I would say that would be my pick.

Write about what interests you, because the blog will attract readers who are also interested in the content. If you don’t include the beer reviews, then you wont get visitors who are into that. Sometimes find beer reviews helpful when making purchases. I will side with Travis however, I really do get more into brewing related material.
I don’t get into reviewing beers, so I choose to keep my blog focused around my brewing. I think people know that about my site. Through traffic tracking, I see how valuable my blog is to other brewers. I also get to see what topics are most important in the world of brewing. This will definitely influence some of the posts I write. Do you track your traffic, and know what sort of people are checking you out?

I like’em all, so please keep the mix. I’m keenly interested in the brewing tips, enjoy the beer reviews, and like to see the rest too.

Keep your voice. You know the posts that tell us what you are interested in. I read about 30 blogs a day. Sometimes I don’t give them all a good read, but, I come here because you tell us what you think.
