BBC News posted a cool story about a son searching for a drinking bud for his dad.
A man who is afraid his father could be lonely has advertised for a drinking companion for him - at £7 an hour - and there is no shortage of likely helpers.
The article goes on to describe the situation, but I was impressed with the son for looking out for his pops like that!
Cheers!

Before you start filling up your kegerator with beer and cylinders and frosty mugs and thawing turkeys (make sure you put turkeys in a pan or something, otherwise it gets messy.) run down to the local Northern Tool, or Tractor Supply, or Fleet Farm or where ever and pick up four low profile heavy duty casters.
Mount them to the bottom corners of your kegerator! This makes it MUCH easier to move around. With the tower on the lid, I have to pull the kegerator away from the wall so I don’t bump open the taps and having it on wheels makes that task enjoyable.
Thanks Bernie!
Cheers!

For the last year or so our kegerator sat in a prime location in the family room. Alongside the fireplace and in a perfect triangle with the couch and tv. Placed delicately against the wall so when playing outside I could run in and grab a pint and still have my eyes on the kids.
Sadly, I had to move it yesterday. Since I’ve slowed down brewing, there really isn’t much justification for a HUGE chest freezer with a two tap brass tower to be sitting in the family room. Considering that the last time I’ve had two beers available and ready to drink at the same time was some time last summer I concluded it was time to move the beast.
Now, it resides in the “back room” where my leather working, holster building, treadmill and general other “junk” calls home. I’m embarrassed to say it makes the family room look much less dumpy and a bit more family-y.
Of course with the footprint of the freezer now open for toys, there is maybe twelve more square feet I have to keep tidied. Now, in thinking about it, the top of the kegerator is flat, and was known to collect stuff. Hmm.
Being the driven and ambitious fellow that I am, that kegerator will be cleaned out, kegs sanitized and purged and ready to go right around… never. Hey, at least I’ll plug it back in once the IPA is ready to go!
Cheers!
