The local morning show has a bit where they try and offer advice to people calling in with their troubles. This morning they were discussing a woman who is a self proclaimed food snob who judges her dates by what they order. That got me thinking, even though we are happily married coming on seven years this fall, how funny would it to come up with a beer dating guide! Similar to the “What kind of Brewer are you?” topic, additional comments are obviously welcome.

Without further ado:

Beer Dating Guide

• Budwieser, Michelobe, COORS Look out folks, these are beers for people who want to look like they drink beer but can only handle minimum flavor. Often they will order a bottle instead of a pint draw because it is what they are used to and refuse to accept that a pour from the tap is much better than from the bottle.
• Killian’s Irish Red is ordered by someone who is trying to look sophisticated by drinking one of those fancy IMPORT beers. Last time I checked though, Killian’s is brewed by COORS! Nice try, move along…
• Leinie’s anything is a good step in the right direction. Look out for the fruit beers, though. Might as well be drinking a wine cooler and I’m NOT going to tell you what I think about that!
• Sam Adams is right up there with a good date beer. Not too strong, not to weak, good flavor and it can be found almost any where. The person drinking Sam Adams must be resourceful and steady in a pinch.
• Local Brew is ordered by a person very confident in self, and who has a balanced sense of ego. This person doesn’t really care what someone else thinks and will do what they feel is right. Look for this person to do right by you!

There it is, look for updates in the coming months as every time I post something like this two days later I think of some really good ones.
