Apparently there is or is going to be a new WiiWare game released initially called “Beer Pong.” The ESRB rated it for teens and some group or another got all upset by it. This article from Wired sums it up pretty nicely.

An upcoming WiiWare game based on that most hallowed and cherished of American pastimes — beer pong — has raised the ire of Connecticut attorney general Richard Blumenthal.

After raising the stink it turns out the makers of the game renamed it to “Pong Toss” and earned themselves an E rating for everyone! At the bottom of the article it points out what I would think to be obvious. The more attention naysayers give a game, the more publicity, the more copies will be bought!

Hey, just because I found this little tidbit I may very well turn on the Wii and see what the fuss is all about!
