Wouldn’t you know it. I write about how much gumption I found yesterday to rack those beers and keep the aging/fermenting moving along. Then I start racking the beer using my three year old auto siphon and there is a bunch of bubbles coming out in the hose. The siphon has to be restarted a couple times before I figure out it is pulling up as much air as beer.

Oh NO.

Yeah, I had to wait until this morning to run to the brew store and pick up another one. As much as I’m hoping my racking problems have been because of that, I am not looking forward to the oxidized beer either. Live and learn, at least I did it to the pumpkin beer and not the IPA that is up next.
