Open Air With Tom Remington February 28, 2008 Broadcast

February 29, 2008

MicrophoneHere’s your chance to listen to the February 28, 2008 broadcast of Open Air With Tom Remington and find links to the stories covered during the broadcast. The player is at the bottom of this post.

Thursday’s show contained an update on the World’s Tallest Snow Woman. She has been officially named Olympia, in honor of Maine’s senior U.S. Senator, Olympia Snowe. Here’s a link to the Olympia’s website and if you’d like to take a look at here, click on the web cam link.

I also introduced you to a website for those seriously interested in learning more about Chronic Wasting Disease, a very serious disease that could have devastating affects on all of us if we don’t get a handle on this disease. The web site is called StopCWD.org and is run by the CWD Foundation.

Another website I introduced you to was Responsible Resouces.org. This can become a resource to a wealth of information for anyone and everyone interested in our natural resources and climate. It should be full of facts.

I included an update of District of Columbia vs. Heller and talked about a letter sent to the Washington Times from Montana’s Secretary of State, Brad Johnson, stating that if the U.S. Supreme Court should rule that the Second Amendment is not an individual right, then the U.S. would be in violation of the contract Montana had with the Union to join. They claim their contract states explicitly that Montanans would not give up their individual right to keep and bear arms.

I have no links for you to find the audio version of The Obamaman Can, that I sung to the tune of The Candy Man! If I ever am able to get a copy, you’ll hear it right here.

And then on to global cooling. I’ve decided to change the topic title from here on out to global cooling because I think it is a relevant as global warming.

Here’s the link to the Associated Press article about snow depths, etc. for Maine and other parts of the country. And at the Dailytech website, you can find the article I referenced about the worldwide temperature sensors recording the coldest winter in the northern hemisphere in a hundred years.

Enjoy the show!
