The Kansas Sports Travel and Boat Show at the KS Colliseum in Wichita enlightened the crowd with Timber Tina and the Lumber Jills.  They showed the crowd how to chain saw, cross cut saw, ax throwing, ax tossing and log rolling.  No one could believe that these finely built women could handle such a task.  Tina’s experience grew up competeing in log competitions and when she got old enough she started her own show. Alissa Harper (Bar Harbor, Maine), Allison Melton (Bangor, Maine), Andrea Robarge (Naples, NY) and Erica Schreiner (Fulton, NY) are four Lumber Jills who helped entertain this event.  Alissa is the only one who logging all came new to her and was trained by Timber Tina.  For a women who has definitely made her mark in a man’s field, Tina has been featured in National Geographic, Sports Illustrated and Womens Sport and Fitness magazines.  She also was a commentator for ESPN lumberjack competitions.  Even though she starred on the tv series Survivor she is showing us everyday how to conquer the world lumberjack style. And the saga doesnt stop there, husbands of the Lumber Jills and brothers and other members of family are getting involved as well.
