Penn St takes over top national ranking in wrestling

Yes, that’s correct…You ARE number 1….!

Penn St. has never been known as an enduring power in NCAA wrestling, but this week they made their mark and plan on staying there, being ranked #1 in the nation. This marks the third Big 10 team that has earned the top ranking, showing just how dominant the league is in this respective NCAA category.

Still not convinced? Then look at the rest of the rankings:

Iowa #2, Minnesota #6, Michigan #7, #9 Northwestern, Ohio St. #11, Wisconsin #11, Indiana #15, Illinois #17.

So…..that means that Illinois could finish ninth in the conference championships and is still one of the best in country? Yeesh. Perhaps Michigan St and Purdue should just stay home for the conference matches. :)

I know there’s no such thing as a lock in sports, but to put your money on a Big 10 team this year to win the NCAA championship is as close as it gets….
