ESPN Thinks Big 10 will have most bowl teams in 2008

In an article by ESPN that was done a few days ago, columnist Mark Schlabach likes the Big 10 to have as many as eight teams in bowl games for the upcoming college football season, and even has Ohio State back in the national championship against Georgia. While the Big 10 typically boasts a strong number of teams every year in the postseason, I personally was surprised to see that many teams named, much less that the conference would be the leader of the pack–well, at least the co-leader (he thinks the SEC will have 8 teams as well).
Here are some of the other games that Schlabach has predicted:
Rose Bowl presented by Citi
(BCS vs. BCS) USC Trojans vs. Wisconsin Badgers
Capital One
(SEC vs. Big Ten) Florida Gators vs. Illinois Fighting Illini
Outback
(Big Ten vs. SEC) Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Tennessee Volunteers
Insight
(Big 12 vs. Big Ten) Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Purdue Boilermakers
Valero Alamo
(Big Ten vs. Big 12) Michigan State Spartans vs. Kansas Jayhawks
Champs Sports
(ACC vs. Big Ten) Florida State Seminoles vs. Michigan Wolverines
Motor City
(MAC vs. Big Ten) Ball State Cardinals vs. Iowa Hawkeyes
Those are quite some good match ups, in my opinion, and also give the Big 10 quite a challenge overall. I can’t wait for the season to start!!!
