The Meat Blankets Idea came in Oct of 2000 when owner of Deer-Pendable was on a bow hunt in MI with his friend video taping the hunt. Kirk sat quiet in the stand, hoping to shoot a trophey buck with a bow, the only problem with this hunt was a perspiring 76-degree temp and bugs everywhere ! To make a long storie short Kirk arrowed his biggest buck to date, a buck of a lifetime, a 12 point bruiser with an 18 inch spread dressing out at 218 lbs a nice MI corn feed brut. After field dressing and the half a mile drag back to the cabin, they guys were looking at each other with the sweat dripping from there brows, asking each other how are we going to get this deer back home before loosing the meat?? Needless to say they had to packup all the gear and head south, the temp wasnt going any lower and the ice bags in the cavity were melting fast, unfortunately the meat spoiled, but the rack was sweet !! And after two more years of dealing with that same situation The Meat Blanket was created.

I know the guys at Deer-Pendable arn’t the only hunters who have had this same thing happen to them. You put so much work into a succsefull hunt, never let it spoil your hunt again.
