Hello and welcome to Downeast Sportsman. My name is Norm Sargent. I live in the “downeast” region of Maine with my wife and three year old son. I love to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing, boating or whatever other “excuse” I can come up with. My hopes for Downeast Sportsman is to provide not only an online community of outdoor enthusiasts but also to start a “outdoor club” for other outdoor enthusiasts throughout my regions and Maine. Through this we would provide the opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts in our area to share in our love of the outdoors. We are in hopes to provide great outdoor opportunities for veterans and newcomers alike. I have a great passion for youth and will focus on providing opportunities for our youth to be introduced to the great outdoors. Along with this, we will fight to help carry on this great tradition of the outdoors through ensuring that these activities that we have enjoyed for many years will be around for our kids to enjoy. We hope you will stick around as we update and build this community of Downeast Sportsman.
