My name is Raleigh Watson. I was born in Augusta, Ga, but for the past 10 years I have lived on the southeastern coast of North Carolina in Cape Carteret, where the population is smaller than some Texas High Schools. I attended Virginia Tech for college, where I earned a degree from the business school with a major in Hospitality and Tourism Management. I have been a Hokies fan since I was very young, and will always be a devoted fan of the school. Nevertheless, I will be attending the Miami school of Law in the Fall of 2008, where I plan to earn a Master of Arts in Marine Affairs and Policy. OK…enough of the stuff that doesn’t relate to sports…I am obsessed with sports and fishing. I have been marlin fishing since I was 8 years old and spent all of 2007 working on a charter boat out of Morehead City, NC. I have extensive fishing experience in Mexico, Bermuda, and obviously North Carolina. My perfect week would be to fish Monday through Friday, and then watch football ALL day on Saturday and Sunday. Of course, I would also watch Thursday night and Monday night football. In addition, I love to play almost every sport, but I am truly obsessed with football…both NFL and college. I hate it when the Super Bowl is over because that means football is over, which is why I will focus on the NFL draft and college recruiting in the offseason. I have followed football closely at both levels for my entire life and plan on covering a wide range of football related subjects. However, don’t be surprised if I add in a couple of remarks about March Madness, or how awesome my Celtics have become this year. I look forward to talking football with everyone in the future, as well as responding to all of your comments and questions.
