SPOT Satellite Messenger Donates 14 units to save Hunter Education Instructor’s Lives

I picked this up from the Outdoor Wire today:

SEATTLE, Washington-SPOT LLC, a newly launched GPS messenger and satellite tracking device manufacturer donated 14 SPOT units to top Hunter Education Instructors, administrators, and even one student at the recent International Hunter Education Association Convention in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

“The life-saving potential of SPOT is obvious, and as brand new supporter of the IHEA and safe hunting, the folks at SPOT want every hunter to return home safely from the field,” states Rahul Athavale, Marketing Manager. “Donating these units to deserving leaders and stewards to the hunting sport is our way of getting the message out there that there is a simple GPS device available that can make a significant difference in communicating everything from a quick check-in OK message from the field, to an emergency 911 call resulting in a saved life.”

The donation in its entirety was a $4200.00 cash value donation that SPOT hopes will make a significant difference in providing safety to hunters in the field.
