Would you like to be part of a televised hunt with Buckmasters? Buckmasters American Deer Foundation is accepting bids for a very special hunt that will place you in the thick of the action! As high bidder you will be there for the 2009 Life Hunt Classic with Buckmasters and Jackie Bushman. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity with 100% of the proceeds benefiting ill and disabled children through BADF Life Hunts.
As high bidder you will attend our 2-1/2 day event. You’ll meet Buckmaster’s own Jackie Bushman, some very special hunters ill and disabled hunters, and other guest celebrities. You will witness the filming of our signature Life Hunt in the infamous central Alabama black belt and get to hunt yourself! The winning bidder will be allowed to harvest a trophy buck, and a doe if desired.
This hunt offers a unique opportunity for a memorable gift to a friend of loved one, or a dream come true for an avid Buckmasters fan. Create wonderful memories that will be cherished for years to come. One thing is for sure; your outlook on life will not be the same after participating in this event.
Various volunteer celebrities have been known to participate in the Buckmasters Life Hunt Classic. Since the schedules of these wonderful folks are so ever-changing, we normally don’t know until just before the event who might be participating. It’s exciting to know that just about anyone could show up! Famous celebrities such as Jeff Foxworthy, Aaron Tippen, Ward Burton, Irlene Mandrell, Jim Thome, Troy Gentry, Rhett Akins and Mark Chestnut have been involved with the event in the past. Any attending celebrities will be there to spend time with all present, sign autographs, and possibly even put on a private performance around the campfire.
The auctioned hunt covers 2-1/2 days of semi-guided trophy deer hunting, game retrieval and quartering, lodging (at a nearby hotel) and lunch and dinner each day. Some Realtree clothing, a package of Streamlight products, other products from various Buckmasters’ sponsors will be provided as well as gifts from Buckmasters own product line and whatever else we have donated for the hunt. Hunt dates are not definitive at this time. The hunt typically stars at noon on a Monday in mid-January and ends after dark on the following Wednesday. Dates should be determined at any time.
The location is on privately owned non-commercial property in central Alabama. It is part of the same tract the Life Hunters hunt. They hunt more of the interior of the several thousand acre plantation. The winning bidder will have 250 acres with food plots to hunt during his trip on the outer edge of the plantation. Stands will be assigned by your guide but if you want to bring a climbing stand we can work with you on set-up. This is the Alabama Black Belt and it will be during the rut!
Winning bidder will hunt his site and go to the main meeting location each day at midday and in the evening. Lodging will be provided at a Marion, Alabama, motel about 30 minutes away from the meeting camp. The winning bidder will need to provide transportation to the event, and to and from the hotel to the hunt site. Winner must also purchase and possess a valid Alabama hunting license. Since this is a very special event for our challenged and ill hunters, cameras crews will not be available to film the auction winner’s hunt.
Ladder stands and ground blinds will be used for hunting over food plots, as well as stands of timber. The auction winner may bring his own climbing stand if desired. Safety gear such as tree stand harnesses are required, and must be provided by the winning hunters. Hunters may use rifles or primitive gear. Bucks taken should be mature deer, with eight points or better.
Proper conduct of the winning bidder and will be expected at all times while attending the event. Hunters must provide proof of a valid Alabama hunting license. You must be 18 to bid, but you can win the hunt for someone under 18 if you are willing to accompany the under aged hunter at all times. Upon bidding on this hunt, the bidder agrees that he or she understands that it is at Buckmasters discretion to determine whether the high bidder exhibits inappropriate behavior during the event. If in Buckmasters opinion inappropriate behavior is being exhibited by either party, the bidder will be asked to vacate the property immediately and will not be given a refund. The high bidder also understands that he or she will be required to read and sign a release of liability for Buckmasters, BADF and the property owners. We are asking that only bidders 18 and older bid on this event.
All funds from this auction will benefit BADF Life Hunts, a program that provides quality all-expense paid hunts to children and some adults with life threatening illnesses and disabilities. BADF has granted 340 Life Hunts since 1994, with many touching outcomes. One thing is for sure, your life will not be the same after this experience. For information on Life Hunts visit http://www.badf.org.
There aren’t many guarantees when it comes to hunting. We cannot promise the auction winner big bucks, although you will be in a good place for an opportunity. We can’t give the assurance that the weather will cooperate. But we can promise you this – that the funds raised from this auction will be used to touch the lives of children and certain adults who just need a glimmer of hope.
For more questions or information please send me an eBay message or call 205-366-8415. Please, serious bidders only please. Payment must be made within 7 days of auction end by cashier’s check, money order or PayPal.
Typically, we hit some point of the rut with the timing of this hunt. Experienced hunters know what the rut is unpredictable, especially in Alabama. The weather conditions will have an influence on deer and rut activity.
There are some 150 class deer around. But it is real hunting and we can’t promise you’ll even see a deer. But it will be an experience you will never forget! The photos are form past Life Hunts.
NOTE FOR BIDDING HUNTERS WITH DISABILITIES
Before bidding on this hunt please contact me and let’s discuss your mobility. We are limited on what types of disabilities we can take on this particular auctioned hunt.
