That’s how much food is being wasted in America. According to the Society of St. Andrew, this equates to 96 billion pounds of food per year! This is terrible, especially with 36 million Americans living in poverty. The fluctuating economy, tough job market, high fuel prices and increasing cost of basic items such as groceries are causing more and more individuals and families to seek food assistance for the first time.

FHFH helps ensure that venison and other protein-rich meat doesn’t become part of this waste! In many states hunters are asked to harvest multiple deer to control the populations and prevent problems such as damage to crops and automobile collisions.
