Gun news from across the pond
While I was researching shooting charities tonight I came across ShootingUK. I didnt think people could actually shoot guns in Europe anymore…. how little do I know!
Heres the article about the Scotish shooting charity that raised a bunch of money for the Princes Trust.

SCOTLAND’S top business people have raised a staggering £204,000 for The Prince’s Trust at the charity’s annual clay shoot at Auchterhouse Country Sports near Dundee.
Organised by CR Smith chairman Gerard Eadie, the event has secured more than £1.2m over the past 8 years to help disaffected young people fulfill their potential.
Some 400 guests attended, including 180 competing in sporting, flush and flypast events alongside professional guns and pledged generous bids for an array of prestigious auction prizes.
They included senior executives from RBS, RMJM, Hunter Boot Ltd, Clyde Blowers, John Clark Group, James Keiller Estates, Marsh Knight Real Estate, Compass Group and Tods Murray.
A Spanish shooting break, to hunt deer, moufflon and wild boar went for £8,000 and a day’s Ptarmigan shooting at Invercauld Estate with luxury helicopter transport to the mountain top raised £15,500.
Supporting the event was celebrity chef Nick Nairn, who opened his cook school for the day; while Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh staged a fashion show.
Gerard Eadie, vice-chair of The Prince’s Trust in Scotland, said: “The shoot is a fantastic event and raises a great deal of money which all stays in Scotland. But it also highlights the commitment The Prince’s Trust makes to help disadvantaged young people turn their lives around.”
Top guns were Peter Cracroft in the amateur category; Bob Clarke in the game shot category while Commonwealth Games medallist, Ian Marsden, took the top professional gun.
