Our kayak fishing brothers in Texas have started a movement for soldiers that have been wounded defending our country and they are taking them kayak fishing. This movement is called Heroes on The Water

On Saturday, June 6th, Georgia Kayak Fishing Association is privileged to participate with the Wounded Warriors stationed on Ft Gordon near Augusta, GA. Fort Gordon has a private retreat on Clarks Hill Lake that is being made available to us for the purpose of hosting a kayak fishing day with these Heroes!
This type of event cannot be successful without the participation of us kayaker’s. We need you, your kayaks , your fishing gear and most importantly, your great positive attitude of helping us help other. So come out and take a soldier fishing and enjoy the comraderie on the shores of Clarks Hill Lake.
Please think about helping out the soldiers if you are into kayaking. Then think about what they have done for you!!! And just do it!
