    About

Well yall, first off let me say hello and thank you for sharing this brief moment in our lives. My name is Mike Bell and I’m a hunter. Skinny Moose Media has allowed me the opportunity to help spread the news and activities of some of the greatest groups of people through out the hunting community. These collective individuals have gone above and beyond and should be showcased as to another reason why the hunting tradition is so important to all Americans. Traditionally hunting has been a main stay method of providing food for one’s family. But hunting provides so much more then just food for the table. It gives our souls nourishment, energy and allows us to relax and escape our daily struggles.

Unfortunately for some folks, every day is a struggle from which there is no escape. Dealing with disabilities, terminal illnesses, medical emergencies and death are the ultimate struggles in our lives. Things happen for what ever reason and sometimes we just don’t know what to do or who we need to talk to. Friends and family for the most part, is our inner circle that we turn to in our times of need. Other times, we are the ones on the outside and want to help lend a hand to someone but don’t know how or where to start. So how do we bring these different sides together? One word comes to mind, knowledge.

To know something you have to perceive or understand clearly with certainty the information or situation before you. Using this blog, I’m going to give you all the information I can find on some of the greatest groups of people in the hunting community. Groups like Hunters Helping Hunters, Hunt of a Lifetime, NWTF’s Wheeling Sportsman, Hunt for a Cure, Hunters for the Hungry, United Special Sportsman Alliance, and Buckmaster’s American Deer Foundation are just a few off the top of my head. I will also share with you, the people that make these groups happen.  Almost all of these groups need help with funding and volunteers.  I will also introduce you to some of the most amazing people who benefit from these groups. And yes there will be some tears, but hopefully tears of joy.

This blog, will give everyone the chance to learn and grow and hopefully the knowledge to help make a difference and to continue the hunting tradition of family, friends, and a life outdoors. So please stay with me as we learn more about the helping hands of hunting.

    Thanks again,

    Mike Bell
