Good job Sarrah.

You entered hunting from a practical side that is atypical of my cultural history. My culture was food and fun first – conservation was a foreign term. My parents, grandparents and extended family had no problem admitting something primal...something predator in them that was fed by "the hunt". I experienced the killer instinct long before I fully understood the importance of conservation. I came to know and embrace conservation out of an intense love for all things wild and an honest pursuit of their well being.

That is the dichotomy that begs explanation and I think and you’ve done a fine job describing your journey and the end result most of us understand – we who love wildlife and hunt. We ended up in the same place, but took different paths to get there.

You know, a cool angle from your experiential perspective might be fighting fires. Forest fires are often minimized via controlled burns as a management strategy.

You are a fine spokesperson for the hunting lifestyle. Keep up the good work.

Very good, I'm a guy and I will admit that I'm out there for the same reasons you are, I love the quiet and peace, although I did grow up doing this stuff. Bowhunting has taught me so much about deer and life.
