Finding friends is not always easy,
but when you have a passion that runs deep,
and you cross paths with another who shares that same passion,
an instant friendship is found…and is forever lasting.

Many of us, either being new to the hunting way of life or just searching for female friends that also hunt like we do in our spare time, often have a difficult time finding fellow female hunters to talk with, email, learn from, or look up too.
My story is not far from how all the other girls have networked in the past few years thanks to the internet . Growing over the past few years, many sites have popped up such as Myspace sites and a few women targeted forums …. small but mighty, places like this have paved the way for ladies to get together and find friends across the states who share the same passion for the outdoors and hunting.
Signing up to Myspace, only to get into my graduating classes’ page to chat with my old highschool friends, I quickly became intrigued on who I could find on this network containing thousands of people across the world.
Finding a few female myspace sites for women hunters,I discovered these women were just like me, everyday ladies…..heading out on early mornings to hunt on their days of of work.
Looking around I decided to go back to the main board and see if anyone was missing. Maybe there were more of us, ladies who havent had the luck of finding the site. I hit the browse friends link, and quickly typed ” female hunters” in the blank box. After hitting search, and finding a few profiles I came across Lindas site and the rest is female-friend hunting history!
Linda is another everyday woman with extraordinary talent . She has an amazing story, just like many of us do, but hers was so inspiring to me.
I looked over her profile, scanning all of her hunting pictures and instantly noticed she was a pianoist, just like my mother. I could not wait to listen to samples of her music.
Luckily, she had them dowloaded right on her page and I could listen and choose which were my favorite. I quickly added Hollandale Hideaway to my Myspace page….and ordered two cds!
I listened to her songs, all that she had played and written herself. Being inspired by her love for the outdoors and hunting, I was also inspired to know she was out there and was only a quick email away. I quickly began to type up an email, explaining my love for the outdoors and sent it right away.
I did not know if she would check it or even take the time to write back to a total stranger, but she did and ever since we have kept in close contact.
Finally, I had a girlfriend I could run home and write too…one to share my hunting stories with. I could ask questions and get some answers! Linda is such a great friend, eventhough we have yet to meet and we are many states away. We however, have many things in common, our passion and love for the outdoors, and that has had us laughing and sharing stories ever since.
As I said above, Linda is a very accomplished pianist, and has many songs you can listen to off her myspace site, which is listed below. She also has cds for sale, which I highly recommend! I listen to them almost everyday driving home from work as I try to relax from a 24 hour shift at the firehouse!
