Ok most of you are saying, “Who the hell is Jimmy Bedford?” Well, most of you have tasted his product for the last 40 years. He has caused you some great nights, some lousy mornings, and gotten some of us women we may not have gotten otherwise.
I received my newsletter from Jack Daniels this week to inform me that Jimmy Bedford will be retiring this week. Ok big deal right? Well Mr. Bedford has been the Master Distiller for 20 years and he worked 20 years before that for Jack Daniels. Jack Daniels has only had 7 Master Distillers since 1866 and Mr. Bedford is the 6th. That is saying something, stability is why Jack Daniels turns out a great product. If you wish to thank Mr. Bedford you can contact him at:

If you were curious who the new Master Distiller is, well it is Jeff Arnett. He has been with JD since 2001 and was most recently Manager of Quality Control and whiskey maturation.
