Smooth Transition to Costal Fishing Licenses
January 9, 2007

As we reported on earlier beginning in 2007 anglers fishing the coast of North Carolina are required to obtain a costal fishing license. So far it seems to be going off without a hitch;
Within 24 hours of becoming available, more than 1,700 of the state’s new Coastal Recreational Fishing License were purchased by anglers. The next day, another 1,800 such licenses were issued.
It’s a good start, officials with the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission said this week.

Moose Droppings is a place that chronicles my journey, I’ll explore new places and ideas I’ll learn new things and I’ll teach the things I’ve learned to others. Join me on the adventure and hopefully it will help you in your outdoor endeavors.

Thanks for the info. Do they sell short-term licenses for people vacationing in NC? Where can I find a price list. I do two or three Outer Banks trips a year and appreciate the heads up that I will need a license this year.

[...] (In yesterday’s post I neglected to go over this bit of information) Good question especially if you’re a nonresident just coming down to visit the Carolina coast for a few days or so. [...]
