The next Fisheries and Wildlife Seminar series at the Centennial Campus Center for Wildlife Education will focus on the red-cockaded woodpecker, a federally endangered species that has benefited from conservation efforts.
“Thirty Years of Red-Cockaded Woodpecker Management in North Carolina” will be presented at 4 p.m. on Feb. 14, by Phil Doerr, Professor Emeritus at N.C. State University. Doerr will describe his research on red-cockaded woodpecker biology management and the longleaf pine ecosystem.

The program will be held in the auditorium of the Centennial Campus Center for Wildlife Education, located on the ground floor of the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission Headquarters and Administrative Building, 1751 Varsity Drive, Raleigh.
