Moon Shot

I read Ready Aim Click often and their recent post about shooting the moon inspired me this weekend but I wasn’t really prepared. On the youth hunt this weekend we stopped at a field edge to listen for turkeys and I saw the moon above the field. I tried to hold as still as I could with my point & shoot and to capture the image but I still got some shake. The image of the boy and his father straining to listen for the gobble of a turkey in the predawn hour with the moon in the background is a lasting image even if I didn’t get the photo just right.

Moose Droppings is a place that chronicles my journey, I’ll explore new places and ideas I’ll learn new things and I’ll teach the things I’ve learned to others. Join me on the adventure and hopefully it will help you in your outdoor endeavors.

a very good pic, and you captured the moment exceedingly well.
My work computer all I see is the moon and the trees so I guess what you have to look at on makes a dif. That is the magical time for a turkey hunter as he stands in the predawn hours hopeful he is in the right area to put a move on that bird.
