NCWC Schedules Public Meetings about Waterfowl Season

August 10, 2007

In order for the seasons to be set the state must wait for Federal guidelines to come out thus the season dates are always established after all the other hunting seasons have been set for the year. Hunters are given opportunity in setting these by attending one of the public meetings that will be conducted across the state the next few weeks. In addition to setting the season biologists will be on hand to present harvest numbers and nesting numbers as well as take public comments on waterfowl in North Carolina. This is a good opportunity to go out and be heard as well as maybe learn a thing or two. I unfortunately do not believe I’ll be recovered enough to attend so I hope any who do attend I’d appreciate hearing your feedback on the meetings.
