North Carolina Non Profit that Provides Hunts for Kids is Expanding to Other States

Hunters Helping Kids is an organization that provides a dream hunt for kids to introduce them to hunting and not only does it provide the hunt but everything that you need to go with it.
The Ultimate Kid’s Hunt, last held in North Carolina, offers children a “hunt of a lifetime” with lodging, meals, a complete hunting outfit, hunting education, gun and a guided hunt provided at no cost to the participants. Children are selected for the hunt from applications submitted to Hunters Helping Kids.
I heard bits and pieces about this organization last year and the generosity they had in introducing kids to the fine sport of hunting. According to the website they only take 10 kids each year; 5 boys & 5 girls.
Indiana is the latest state to start a state chapter and this weekend they are having their fund raising banquet.
The first Hunters Helping Kids Indiana Banquet will be held Saturday at the Morgan County Fairground’s exhibit hall in Martinsville. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m.
The event will include games, raffles, an auction and gun giveaways.
Banquet dinners cost $20, or $10 for children ages 10 to 16. Children under age 10 eat free. Membership, sponsor and corporate packages also are available. Ranging in price from $150 to $800, these packages are a $200 to $1,025 value, according to the organizers. At the corporate level, admission and meals for eight are included along with one free shotgun per corporate table.
I don’t know if I have any readers in the Indiana area but if I do this maybe an organization you can help out. I’m sure there is opportunities for other states to get involved as well and to help introduce a kid to hunting.
Wow, this sounds like a great organization. I hope it keeps expanding to more states.
