Do You Remember?
September 11, 2007
Six years ago today life as we knew it took a horrible turn and it will never be the same. The ultimate sacrifices made that day by many to try to help their fellow man are worthy to be honored and remembered forever. Today there is still many that stand in harms way so we can continue to enjoy the freedoms we as Americans have. These are some photos I shot last year on a trip to San Diego. The fire museum had a touching tribute to their fallen brethren from NY.
A boat ride in the harbor reinforced how our world changed as security was tight especially with multiple Carriers in port.
Despite the efforts of the American Civil Liberties Union this Memorial still stands.
on a hillside outside of San Diego. The 29 foot Cross started as a war memorial to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in Korea has now been expanded to include all who have fallen in defense of America.
Please take a moment today and reflect on that and if you have the opportunity thank one of our service people or public servants that you run into today.
My 9/11 post for 2006 Tribute to Capt Daniel Brethel NYFD

Moose Droppings is a place that chronicles my journey, I’ll explore new places and ideas I’ll learn new things and I’ll teach the things I’ve learned to others. Join me on the adventure and hopefully it will help you in your outdoor endeavors.
