He was part of a group of 6 hunters hunting out of layout blinds with a large decoy spread (500+ Decoys) when a man not associated with their party saw the decoy spread from the road and attempted to illegal kill a goose with a rifle. Jocelyn was struck by a single 22 round in the head those hunting with him immediately began efforts to try to safe his life to no avail. The unidentified 59 year old man from nearby town of Price fled the scene but not before members of Jocelyn’s hunting party got the license plate number off his car. One fellow fighter Jocelyn Leger came out of the woods to go to fetch help.
