Helping Out Others This Time of Year… Sportsmen For Tots
December 3, 2007

Sportsmen for Tots was formed a number of years ago when a group of hunters from a hunting message forum in Alabama got together to raise money for a needy family at Christmas time by holding a raffle. From there they have expanded and instead of one family they support many kids by giving 100 % of the money raised to the Marines Toys for Tot program.
There are a number of great items in this years raffle including the top prize of a 270 rifle provided by the owners of Aldeer.com where this organization got it’s start. In a day and age where it can be often difficult to find positive stories about Sportsmen and Hunters here is a group of them working to make the Christmas season just a little brighter for others. I hope some of my readers will join me and buy some tickets and help them out in their effort and hats off to them for making a difference.

Moose Droppings is a place that chronicles my journey, I’ll explore new places and ideas I’ll learn new things and I’ll teach the things I’ve learned to others. Join me on the adventure and hopefully it will help you in your outdoor endeavors.

Another great example of hunters helping others. It constantly amazes me how much good hunters do and how little most people know about it.
