North Carolina Wildlife Commission Announce Increase in Fees to Register Boats
December 4, 2007

Fees will climb from $10 to $15 annual registration or from $25 to $40 for a three year registration beginning January 1st. Fee increases will be used to maintain current public launches as well as develop new ones.
“The rapid rate of change along North Carolina’s shorelines has created a situation that requires immediate action and adaptation,” said Gordon Myers, a deputy director with the Commission. “Our goal is to maximize public value by directing these new funds towards projects that leverage multi-agency partnerships and multi-use facilities.”
