Tragedy Hits Near Home

Living outside of Garner NC, home of the Slim Jim factory an item that often finds its way into my hunting pack often, today was rocked by an explosion and tragedy. Shortly after 1130 am the factory exploded with 300 workers inside. While miraculous that more were not killed or injured at this time there are two confirmed dead and one still person still missing. Rescue workers trained in search and rescue in collapsed buildings are still working at the site attempting to locate the one unaccounted for person as well as working into the area where the two deceased are to recover their remains. Not only are the rescuers having to contend with all the issues around a building collapse and a haz mat (ammonia leak) but our area is now being rocked by Thunder Storms. Please keep the workers, family members, and the rescue workers in your prayers. Additional Con Agra is one of the largest employers in the town with 900 workers and with the economy the way it is this could be really tough on the community.
I drive by the factory almost daily so it’s hard for me to believe this has happened in our small town.
