How Do I Join Skinny Moose Media?
February 10, 2007
Skinny Moose Media is currently seeking bloggers to join our growing media network. If you have a certain area of expertise, be it fishing, hunting, the great outdoors, sports, entertainment, technology or even news media and journalism, then we may have the opportunity you have been looking for. If you don’t see the topic you currently blog about represented, drop us a line. We are willing to work with you. We offer free domains, free web hosting, a full (and free) technical support team, and a great community of like-minded bloggers that are here to support you throughout your blogging future.
Skinny Moose Media truly cares about what you have to say. We will work with you to provide the best possible readership and audience for your blog, as well as work with you to take your writing to that next level. Many of our writers have been featured in top-notch publications and are looked upon as experts in their field. If you want a chance to succeed, why not join a team that has your best interest in mind?
Skinny Moose Media offers a few points to consider for knowing if you are right for our fast growing network. If you meet the following criteria, drop us an email and we will see what we can do to get you involved in a timely manner and make you a part of the team.
1. You should know what a blog is. This is the number one criteria. We do teach and give blogging tips, but we don’t have time to start from scratch and explain to people what a blog is. It is like looking for journalists and getting people to ask you what a magazine or newspaper is. So make sure you know what a blog is.
2. You need to like to write. It is impossible to keep up a blog for more than a month if you simply can’t stand the thought of writing. Each entry doesn’t have to be very long but having to sit down and write something each day sort of demands that you like writing.
3. Willing to learn more about blogging. Even if your an expert in your chosen field, we understand that there is always something new to learn. We are looking for people to blog and be willing to learn more about it. The more you learn about blogging, the more traffic your blog will generate, and in turn, will bring you increased traffic each month. The bigger your audience, the happier you’ll be.
4. Networking. What is networking? The type of networking I am talking about is reaching out to other bloggers and other sources by linking to them. Even though you have all kinds of valuable information and content for readers, if you don’t network, then your information is difficult to find. Not only should you link to other sources in your sidebar but you should link regularly in your blog content. It is the nature of blogging and it will help generate traffic, loyalty, reliability, and best of all… readership.
So How Do I Join The Skinny Moose Media Team?
Joining is the easy part. If you have considered the above information and you feel you meet the criteria, then we definitely need to talk. You may contact Jason A. Hendricks, our Skinny Moose Media Recruiting Director, by dropping him a simple email at theadventurist@cliffhanger.com. He will get in touch with you in a quick and timely fashion.
It should also be noted that if you are currently blogging elsewhere, we may be able to move your current blog in to our network without much of a hassle. Our technical support team is one of the best and for the most part, all posts, comments, photos, and links can be easily integrated in to your new blog host without a loss of traffic. Drop our Recruiting Director an email at the above email address and he can explain this option further.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's highly anticipated speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night nearly matched the record-setting numbers of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

I am a traveling fisherman who supports his habit driving a boat. What, alright, it isn’t that simple. But, it ain’t much more complex either. I have been a Boatswain’s mate in the Coast Guard for 15 years…..took me five just to learn to spell my title. I live in Homer, Alaska where I have enjoyed top notch people, places, and outdoors experiences. I am leaving Alaska in two days bound for a new job in Jonesport, Maine. I claim to be an expert at nothing. I do have a strong want to start a blog. And, I would love to network with like people in Maine. I am going to document my trip down the AlCan across Canada and the States and write a daily journal. I am packing my fly rod, and an open calendar. i have no claim to fame to sell to you. But, I do have an IQ over 150 (yet, still can’t write grammatically correct sentences), I have a beautiful j-stroke, a gnashing quick wit, and an ability to stay in the 10% who take 90% of the game. I am the last to complain of cold, the first to brew a pot of coffee, and generally pack enough to let you borrow one. Email me if you would entertain a new blogger.
