Brent Reece From Aroostook County, Maine Joins Skinny Moose Media

February 14, 2007

Skinny Moose Media just added a new blogger to the Network. Brent Reece is from Aroostook County Maine and is now blogging at Aroostook Flyers and Tyers. Make sure to go check it out. I am sure you can learn a thing or two about tying flies and more… Below is his bio:

brent_s_head.JPGBrent Reece is a dedicated father of four and a husband, as well as a dedicated fisherman and selfless promoter of outdoor activities.

Over the previous 46 years of his life, Brent has traveled and fished all over Maine and elsewhere. He has also worked in the construction industry and in the IT field in recent years. His broad based knowledge of the world we live in and in the fishing world as a whole gives him a unique perspective on all things Maine.

Prior to establishing his current career at Walmart he was a self employed businessman; and knows most everyone in the Houlton area. Either through one of his businesses or through his work for Irving Oil and or for J.S. Walker Marketing, where he was employed as a manager in both cases. Active in his local Church he was co-founder of a Chapter of the National Christian Organiztion CSF, Christian Sportsman’s Fellowship.

Brent Reece offers a vast love of Maine and of fly fishing. It is in this capacity he serves as a Founder of the newest chapter of Trout Unlimited in Maine to watch over the resources and ecology of our area.

Brent Reece enthusiastically reaches out to those who share his love of the outdoors and encourages their greater involvement through clubs and organizations, giving a voice to the faceless masses who hunt and fish in Maine. But he never hesitates to get personally involved. It is his intention to challenge each of you as anglers to do better and give more to all that you love. In this way we can all build a stronger longer lived heritage and know it will live on beyond us all.

As “Aroostookbasser” on the Maine Hunting and Fishing Today forums he has made a great effort to incite conversations about all things Maine and Outdoors. Although at times he has provoked the wrath of some, he for the most part has been able to draw out of the average viewer the truth of their convictions.

Now here in his Blog you have the chance to discuss all things fly with him at your pace. Need to know a tie or how to spin a dubbing loop? He will share his knowledge with you. At the same time guests will also add their knowledge to your requests. But remember just as this is his place to speak so it is yours………..we await your request.

To contact Bent Reece you can post a comment here, or email: aroostokbasser@yahoo.com, or go to http://mainefishingtoday.com and post a question for him in the forum.
