I don't think other similar blogs are your enemy. There are lots of people out there and they won't all see both blogs. Also you can partner with other competitor's blogs.

I feel like the last 30 days I have been out of touch and I miss talking to everyone and doing all of the networking that I used to do.

Jeremiah, set your target as 'blank' - it opens a new window.

Steve, great post! I'll take friends over enemies anytime - especially when they are writing about something I love: the outdoors!

Great post Steve. I'm curious as to whether there's an easy way to program the link so that when a reader clicks on a link on your blogroll (or elsewhere on the site), the link opens in a new window, and therefore doesn't really take people away from your site. I think new readers may have the tendancy to click on links and forget the site they started at.

I very much agree with this. I think we can see how well supporting each other works just within our own little group of relationships. I will never understand people who are reluctant to link to other blogs that deal with the same subjects. That sort of thinking just seems silly to me.
