American Trucks and the Outdoors
by Steve RemingtonJune 2, 2009
This whole debacle with the American car companies has been pretty hard to stomach if you live in the Midwest like I do. Today marks a very sad day for Detroit and our region. One of the most philanthropic companies in the world will move into bankruptcy, a thought that is still surreal.
As the bankruptcy filing moves through its course, there will be hard losses for many to endure in this process. It will no doubt sting badly for many aspects of the industry. There will be more job losses. Dealerships will close and dealers will lose their life’s hard work. Other businesses will not be able to weather the storm, most likely closing their doors. But when it’s all said and done, I expect General Motors to come out as a stronger company, one that will finally be a healthier and more flexible business. Read more

Peter Schiff for U.S. Senator in 2010?
by Steve RemingtonFebruary 23, 2009
A major grassroots campaign has been kicked off in an effort to raise money and awareness for the possibility of Peter Schiff, President & Chief Global Strategist of Euro Pacific Capital, to run against Chris Dodd (D) of Connecticut, for the U.S. Senate in 2010. The campaign is being supported and paid for by the Political Exploration and Awareness Committee PAC (PEAC), an Independent Expenditures Committee and is not officially endorsed by any candidate at this time. Currently, as of February 23rd, after almost 3 days of officially accepting online donations, PEAC has been able to raise over $24K.
Many of the people here at Skinny Moose are second amendment supporters and are always concerned with the future of the outdoorsmen. Read more

Are You Interested In Guest Blogging on Any of Skinny Moose Blogs?
by Steve RemingtonDecember 19, 2008

One of the things Skinny Moose Media has failed to communicate to others is that many of our bloggers would be more than happy to have a few guest bloggers. Guest blogging is a practice that a lot of bloggers do in order to gain more exposure. It is, in most cases, a win/win situation driving traffic back and forth. It also is a great way to get to know other fellow bloggers and do a little Networking. Read more

by Steve RemingtonDecember 8, 2008
Kevin Callahan, writer for the Courier-Times out of New Jersey (25 years), and blog author of Into the Outside, recognizes many of our hunting and outdoor Skinny Moose blogs. Kevin, an entertaining writer, keeps his readers informed on the many facets of the great outdoors, such as the story behind Carlo Travarelli.
For those who have not yet visited Kevin’s blog, you should take the time to head on over and pick right up on it, or you can even subscribe to his feed. I would also like to thank Kevin personally for being so kind to Skinny Moose and linking to many of our blogs from his site. Read more

Skinny Moose is Running the InfoLinks Program
by Steve RemingtonDecember 2, 2008
I have been aware of such In-text advertising programs as InfoLinks. How the program works is very simple. After signing up, you are given a code to place in the footer.php file of your website. That is all the work you have to do. Then companies purchase words. If you happen to have those words on your website then it will appear linked with 2 lines under it. If you hover over that link a little window appears providing information about that link. You earn money whenever someone clicks on those links. Read more
