John Davis

Born and raised in Oklahoma, but moved to Louisiana in 1961. Love to hunt and fish though I don’t get a chance to do as much of either as I want to. Veteran of the U.S. Navy, married, two sons, and two grandsons and have a 18 month old Black Lab named Sophie. Live in Northwest corner of the state. Have been hunting and fishing since I was about 5 years old and enjoy my time in the outdoors. Have also built some rifles, total of five, and kept the first one for myself.

When it comes to hunting, my real passion is wingshooting, though I do hunt deer, rabbits and squirrels. I also enjoy just spending time at the range running rounds down range at paper, and of course, shooting clays, either trap or skeet. Haven’t worked up the courage to show my ineptitude on the sporting clays course.
