Cincinnati no longer Johnson-ville - Da NFL Blog - Fantasy football advice and NFL musings that would make Coach Ditka proud

Cincinnati no longer Johnson-ville

The Rudi Johnson era is over in Cincinnati. The Chad Johnson era remains, though please don’t make me call it something else.

The releasing of Rudi seemed inevitable, and I know I didn’t have Chris Perry on my fantasy radar, but I’m wondering if the Bengals’ offense is going to struggle with even less depth in its running game. Rudi’s career probably isn’t over, but if Shaun Alexander can’t be picked up by another team, Johnson’s immediate prospects don’t look that good.

And Chad changing his name to “Chad Javon Ocho Cinco” completely leaves me at a loss for words. I saw one writer’s suggestion of what the team should do in response: Change is number to 87.
