Well, Sam Wood was gracious enough to send me a copy of “Big-Time Bowfishing Volume 1″ DVD to review and I really do appreciate it.  For most serious outdoorsman, a movie that cuts through the gingerbread and gets right to the action is just the ticket!  Well, this DVD fits the bill!!  As soon as you hit ‘play’, you are treated to a barrage of leaping silver carp and flying fiberglass arrows.  And let me tell you what, these guys are some crazy good shots.  If you’ve watched Jay Gregory and his crew or the Lakosky’s try and shoot silver carp, you know it must be no easy task - the silver carp make them look like fools.  Not the BigTime Bowfishing Team….Sam Wood and his crew (even his children) are some aerial shooting experts.  I think Sam Wood could even give Byron Ferguson a run for his money$$$!  Fish after fish after fish is boated and the action doesn’t slow until the DVD is over.  There is also a nice ‘extra’ that explains how and where they are doing their bowfishing.  Mix in a few gar to the action and I’ve got a suspicion that Volume 2 should be nothing short of amazing.  Thanks Sam, Volume 1 was awesome and I’m looking forward to Volume 2!  Now, pick yourself up a copy and enjoy this bowfishing spectacle!
