Hopefully, you all will excuse my recent absence, but I was enjoying North Carolina’s Outer Banks for a 5 day vacation.  We headed down on Tuesday evening after Kara got off work and returned on Saturday evening.  It was a fun-filled week with good food, beautiful beach weather, NO smoke!, good fishing, and much much more.  Of course, you all are interested mostly in the fishing, but here are a couple of other pictures from the vacation that don’t fit into that mold….

Here was Thursday evening’s beach picnic.  Barbequed chicken, baked potatoes, and more…delicious!  Mom’s handiwork!

Kara took this great picture of a sailboat that got right in tight with the breakers in the surf.  There weren’t many boats to be seen in the ocean, though, maybe the gas prices were keeping boaters off the water.
